The 2016 4th Degree Christmas Party was held on Dec 16, 2015. Great fellowship between wonderful people of like minds to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas

85 SK’s and spouses in attendance.  The breakdown on attendance, there were 94 RSVPs. Of that group, 3 called in sick, 15 did not find their way to the hall& 8 others showed up that fail to respond to the RSVP call out, but we are happy they came out, everyone is welcome.

The menu consisted of an assortment appetizers and snacks, with Chicken Breast with hunter sauce catered by Mel’s Country Café in Tomball, and an assortment of desserts.  Conroe Council handled the beverages, Spring Council handled the appetizers and snacks, and Woodlands Council handled the desserts.  It was a group effort that handled the cleanup duties.

The party was free.  We had a 50/50 drawing, a drawing for a Holiday Wreath, a silent auction item and a drawing for the basket of cheer.  In addition, we had number door prizes, everyone left with something.

The money made by the 50/50 - $239, Wreath - $30.00, and the Basket of Cheer- $325.00 & $75.00 from the silent help reduce the cost of this event. Mel’s donated 2 gift card that enhanced the raffle total.

Joe Fougere won the 50/50, Ray Simper won the basket of cheer & Rich Eimer won the wine basket

Many thanks  to Bill Cepica & his wife who donated the Holiday Wreath, Fernando & Rosa Hess who donated the hand crafted cross for the silent auction.  Rich LaBoda for the many attendance prizes.  Set up crew, James & Valerie  Mullally along Rich LaBoda.  For my family that assembled the hot chocolate jars for the tables. Jerry Leiker & his friend, who handled the drawing tickets & 50/50, thanks to the bar staff. 2 great guy that where in multiple places & there until the end, Tom Moslener & Jim Lombardi. Also to the many that helped in the cleanup, it was done, picked up & the trach out & lights out in record time.  Many thanks to my wife that assisted in organizing, setup, serving, assisted in the drawing, selling a second round of tickets, cleaning up, this was a reflection as to who she is. Again, a big thanks  to everyone that helped in any way.

One name that is always there to help, the Ledwigs, Jim& Maryann who set the appetizers, help with drawing & remained until everything was cleaned up, a big shout out for your unselfish volunteerism.

All of this being said, I think everyone had a nice time at our Christmas celebration & everyone should have went home with a gift.
